Building Control
Building Services are responsible for enforcing the Building Regulations when building works are carried out within the Carrickfergus Borough Council area.
We are concerned with:
- how buildings are constructed
- and inspect construction work as it is carried out to make sure the necessary standards are met.
We also carry out other statutory legislative functions including:
- the licensing of places of entertainment, cinemas, and places storing petroleum
- we deal with dangerous structures
- street naming and postal numbering
- and we provide property certificates for the conveyancing process when buildings are being sold.
Building Services office hours are 9.00am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday
