Property Certificates
The Property Certificate service is offered by the Council so that solicitors and others involved in property transactions can ensure that, so far as relates to the Council, no notices, charges or other proceedings are outstanding against the property. A Property Certificate will also confirm the correct postal address. The process involves carrying out a search of Council records in a manner that has been agreed with the Law Society. When we receive your application we will carry out a search of our records relevant to the property.
The appropriate fees for property searches are as follows: ~

You can apply for a Property Certificate by downloading the application form using the link provided. Please ensure you enclose the appropriate fee with the relevant documentation and return to the Building Services Department. We aim to return your Certificate within 2 weeks of application.
