Parks & Countryside

Carrickfergus Borough is recognised both locally and nationally for its Parks & Countryside. Not only has the region won 'Ulster in Bloom' six times, but it has been runner-up in 'Britain in Bloom' five times. Much of this is down to the dedicated and hard working team of staff, volunteers and partners who make up the Parks & Countryside Service.

>Promoting Sustainability - contributing to the Council's objectives in sustainability, bio-diversity and the promotion of Local Agenda 21.

  • Urban Regeneration and Social Renewal - Establish greenspace provision as a core element in the Borough's programme of social and economic regeneration and urban renewal.
