Kerbside Collection

The kerbside collection is operated on behalf of the Council by Bryson Recycling.

Each household is supplied with a black kerbie box and a red kerbie box.

There is no limit to the number of boxes that can be left out for collection.

Boxes should be left out on the kerbside by 0700 on the morning of collection.

Additional / Replacement Boxes

Additional and replacement boxes can be ordered from Sullatober Depot.

Wheela Trolleys

Council will provide 'wheela trolleys' to elderly or disabled residents in the Borough. The wheela trolley will assit the resident in taking the boxes out to the kerbside. If the resident is unable to do this Bryson House offer an assisted lift service.

Compost Bins

Compost Bins can be purchased from Sullatober Depot, 10 Marshallstown Road, Carrickfergus BT38 9DE for a cost of £15.00 or alternatively you can send a cheque to the value of £20 (made out to Carrickfergus Borough Council) to the above address and a Compost Bin will be delivered to your property.

There are three recycling facilities within the Borough. The following materials can be recycled at each recycling point.

Sainsbury's Car Park, Carrickfergus - Glass (brown, green and clear); Cans; Textiles; Paper; Cardboard and Tetra Packs

Blackhead Car Park, Whitehead - Glass (brown, green and clear); Cans; Textiles; Paper; Cardboard and Tetra Packs

Textile Banks in partnership with Salvation Army can be found at the following locations:
