Areas of Responsiblity
Council will only sweep and clean areas for which they have responsibility. We have a large number of complaints which relate to areas that we do not clean.
Such areas include:
- Unadopted Road
- New Developments - until the adoption process has been completed, which in some cases can take up to 10 years
- Garage Areas/back of houses within estates
- Certain walkways and alleyways within estates
- Cleaning up after builders or roadworks
- Private Car Parks including:
- St Brides Street Car Park
- Co-op Car Park
- Woodsides Car Park
- Tesco Car Park
- Supervalu Car Park
Litter Bins
The litter bins in the Town Centre are emptied on a daily basis. All other areas are emptied on a rolling schedule. We aim to have each litter bin 2-3 times per week.
Dog Bins
These bins are also emptied on a rolling schedule with the aim of each bin being emptied 2-3 times per week.
