PLANT YOUR TREE FOR THE JUBILEE
Carrickfergus Borough Council and the Woodland Trust invite you to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Roll your sleeves up to plant trees and create a living, lasting legacy. Planting a tree is a tremendously positive thing to do and is great fun, even in the depths of winter. There are plenty of reasons to get planting, it's great exercise, children love it, and you'll be making a valuable contribution to our community woodland.
We also have arts and crafts; live music; story telling; face painting and more!
Please Bring:
- Wellies
- Suitable clothing for weather
- A spade if you have one (we have several so don't worry if you don't)
- Enthusiasm! - For a fun and productive day.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Limited parking is available at Bentra Golf Course, Slaughterford Road. Alternatively a free shuttle bus will leave Whitehead Train Station; Whitehead Recreational Grounds; and Blackhead Path every half hour from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
