London 2012 Torch Run Comes to Carrickfergus

A once in a lifetime experience for many to see the Olympic Torch as we gear up for London 2012.
Time: 11.00am - 12.30pm
Venue: Castle Green
The Olympic torch is due to arrive in the Borough at 10.55am at Belfast High School in Greenisland and make its way along the following roads
- Shore Road
- Belfast Road
- Marine Highway
- Arrive at Castle Green
- Marine Highway
- Larne Road
The torch will end its journey in Carrickfergus at Old Turn on Larne Road
It is expected to arrive at Castle Green at approximately 11.30am/11.45am. Please note that these timings are approximate and we would advise anyone wishing to see the Torch to arrive early to avoid any disappointment. Carrickfergus Borough Council is organising family entertainment on Castle Green from 10.30am-12.30pm to help make the wait for the Torch's arrival more enjoyable!
