Memberships

Summer membership offer

Summer Membership will be available for the following dates:

• 1st June to 31st August 2013
• 1st July to 30th September 2013

This costs £80.00 for the three months and includes your Induction (must be booked in advance) and access to our Gymnasium, Therma Spa, Swimming Pool, Kinesis™ Suite and Fitness Classes. Summer Memberships have the same entitlements as Full Memberships for the duration of the three months; scroll down for more information.

£5.00 can be refunded within 2 weeks of membership expiry date upon receipt of both TGS key and membership card or you can continue with your membership within the same time period and pay no joining fee (saving you £25.00).

Terms & Conditions:

• £80.00 must be paid in advance.
• Membership runs for three consecutive months.
• No pro rata is available.

General memberships

There are several types of membership you can take out at the Amphitheatre. All of these are subject to terms and conditions. A brief summary of these memberships can be found below, and more detailed information on each one is included further down.

All gym users MUST have an Induction on-site, regardless of previous experience in other facilities. An Induction lasts approximately 30-45 minutes where our Fitness Instructors will show you the equipment and facilities available in the Gymnasium and throughout the building. This must be booked in advance either by speaking to staff in the gym, or calling to arrange one on 028 9335 8888 and this would be your first step if you were going to sign up as a member. Inductions cost £10.00 and this can be used towards your joining fee if you sign up within two weeks.

Please note that cash payments for memberships are taken quarterly (every three months in advance).

All memberships can be cancelled with one calendar month's notice in writing (cancellation must be received by the 1st of the month in order for membership to cancel at the end of that month).

While your membership may include access to certain facilities, this is dependent on availability and we reserve the right to close areas of the centre from time to time at our discretion, e.g. for maintenance repairs, refurbishment or cleaning.

Full Membership (Adult)

This is our most popular type of membership and includes access to the Gymnasium, Therma Spa, Swimming Pool and Kinesis™ Suite within opening times; as well as use of our Fitness Classes unless otherwise stated (bookable up to seven days in advance). Members must be at least 16 years of age.

There is a joining fee of £25.00 and the membership is £32.00 per month with two payment options: Direct Debits can be set up to come out every month (first week of each month) or you can pay at the desk; however these payments would be quarterly and must be made every three months in advance.

Full Membership (Corporate)

This is the same as the Full Membership (Adult) but the price is different. Members must be at least 16 years of age.

There is a joining fee of £25.00 and the membership is £27.00 per month with two payment options: Direct Debits can be set up to come out every month (first week of each month) or you can pay at the desk; however these payments would be quarterly and must be made every three months in advance.

To avail of this membership you must be employed by (evidence will be required):

• 999 services (Ambulance, Fire, PSNI)
• Armed Forces
• Bombardier Aerospace
• NHS
• Prison Service
• Tesco, Carrickfergus Branch
• Or be a member of Carrickfergus Rugby Club

Full Membership (Concession)

This is the same as the Full Membership (Adult) but the price is different. Members must be at least 16 years of age.

There is a joining fee of £25.00 and the membership is £22.00 per month with two payment options: Direct Debits can be set up to come out every month (first week of each month) or you can pay at the desk; however these payments would be quarterly and must be made every three months in advance.

Concessionary rates apply to: Over 60s, Students (full time) and people in receipt of Jobseeker's Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). Proof of status will be required.

Off-Peak Membership

This membership includes access to the Gymnasium, Therma Spa, Swimming Pool and Kinesis™ Suite within these times:

• Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 4.00pm
• Sunday, 9.00am to 4.30pm

Fitness Classes are not included in this membership.

Members must be at least 16 years of age. There is a joining fee of £10.00 and the membership is £15.00 per month with two payment options: Direct Debits can be set up to come out every month (first week of each month) or you can pay at the desk; however these payments would be quarterly and must be made every three months in advance.

Junior Gym Membership

This membership is for 14 to 15 year olds and includes access to the Swimming Pool and the Cardiovascular and Resistance machines in the Gymnasium (must be accompanied by an adult Gym member at all times). One-court Leisure Activities such as badminton, squash, table tennis a tennis are free if booked on the day; activities that require the use of four courts (e.g. football, basketball, unihockey, netball) will be subject to a £10 charge if booked on the day (this covers all other participants). Any activities booked in advance will be charged at the concession rate.

Fitness Classes, Free Weights, the Kinesis™ Suite and the Therma Spa are not included in this membership.

There is a joining fee of £10.00 and the membership is £15.00 per month with two payment options: Direct Debits can be set up to come out every month (first week of each month) or you can pay at the desk; however these payments would be quarterly and must be made every three months in advance.

Junior Membership

This membership is for 8 to 13 year olds and includes access to the Swimming Pool. One-court Leisure Activities such as badminton, squash, table tennis a tennis are free if booked on the day; activities that require the use of four courts (e.g. football, basketball, unihockey, netball) will be subject to a £10.00 charge if booked on the day (this covers all other participants). Any activities booked in advance will be charged at the concession rate.

Fitness Classes, the Gymnasium, the Kinesis™ Suite and the Therma Spa are not included in this membership.

Yearly Membership

All memberships are available to be purchased a year in advance - in this case we would not take a joining fee, saving you £25.00 or £10.00 dependent on the type of membership.
