Carrickfergus market, located in the car park opposite to the Library at Joymount is operated by the YMCA, and is held weekly each Thursday from 8am - 1pm. The market is the ideal place to purchase locally produced fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing and a wide selection of everyday household products.

Speciality Food and Craft Market
For the last six months of 2008 the Carrickfergus Chamber of Commerce & Trade organised a successful Speciality Food and Craft Market. It took place once a month on a Saturday in Market Place and West Street in centre of Carrickfergus. It is hoped that a monthly market may run again from Summer 2009
