Sports Development Grant Awards

The Sports Development team at Carrickfergus Borough Council prides itself with assisting aspiring sports teams and individuals to meet their goals through various grants for Excellence, New Club, Sports Training, Club Equipment, Sport Events & Sports Coaching. February 2011

 

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Ald Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to Jeff Morris(Coach), Sandy Loudon (Coach) & Jake Moore from Carrick Rangers Colts (Under 12’s) Football Club from representing the Borough at the National Youth Football Tournament in Scotland. A Sport Grant Award of £400 was awarded to the club.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Ald Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to John McFadden (Coach), Jamie Davis, Jason McAteer, Daniel Stephen, Colter Binnie & Rhys McFadden from Barn Utd Youth (Under 12’s) Football Club from representing the Borough at the National Youth Football Tournament in Scotland. A Sport Grant Award of £400 was awarded to the club.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Ald Billy Ashe) presenting two cheques to Ian Teggert from Whitehead Eagles Junior Football Club, for an equipment grant and a team coaching grant. A Sport Grant Award totalling £450 was awarded to the club.

Chairman of the Leisure & Sports Development Sub Committee (Ald Billy Ashe) presenting a cheque to John McAllister from Carrick Flyers Basketball Club for assisting the individual to obtaining his level 1 Basketball Coaching Award. A Sport Grant Award of £45 was awarded to the individual.

Kenneth English was awarded a Sport Grant cheque of £150 for ‘Excellence’ for representing Northern Ireland at the World Pool Championship in France.
