    Following the sad passing of the Borough’s Mayor, Alderman Charles Johnston, earlier this week the council offices will close on Friday 27th February from 1pm as a mark of respect and to allow staff to attend his funeral which is taking place in Carrickfergus Methodist Church. Full story

    Happy Birthday to Carrickfergus Parkrun

    Carrickfergus Amphitheatre saw the first anniversary of Carrickfergus "parkrun" on Saturday 31st January 2015. The parkrun event celebrated its birthday in style with a turnout of 76 people – many in ‘onesie’ fancy dress. Runners included 8 "under 14's", and 2 "over 60's" running and finish times ranging from 18 minutes to 37 minutes. Full story
