Wildcats
Wildcats Activ8 is working in partnership with Sport Northern Ireland to offer a unique form of physical activity aimed at children aged 5 – 11 years old. By joining a Wildcats Activ8 Club, children can take part in fun activities to develop their skills for sport.
The Wildcats Activ8 Club will be commencing again on Monday 27th September for 10 weeks, with registration starting from Monday 20th September at the reception desk.
Each session will last 1hour and 30mins starting at 4.15pm finishing 5.45pm
The cost is £20.00 per child and they will be booked in for a 10 week block.

FIT KIDS
The stepping stones of healthy life…. Fit Kids is back for a new exciting term starting on Saturday 4th September.
Providing fun Fitness, Health and Wellness for young people aged 4 – 16 years old through participation in various sports, fitness and activities designed for their own age group, Fit Kids is a place to hang out with your mates, learn how to use the gym to develop a stronger fitter body as well as trying a few sports as well as developing movements, body awareness, balance, agility, communication and social skills.

Pool restrictions (School Swimming Programme & Children’s swimming lessons)
The schools swimming programme will be commencing once again during term time, week commencing Monday 6th September, as will children’s after school swimming lessons, therefore pool restrictions will be in place. Early bird’s will have unrestricted use of the pool from 6.30am – 9.30am Monday to Friday.
At Amphitheatre Wellness Centre, we aim to meet the needs of all customers, therefore whilst there will be restrictions in place at certain times of the day, the pool will remain open for public swimming.
In order to avoid restrictions, please contact reception for the latest update on the schools swimming programme and swimming lessons.

Adult swimming lessons
Places are still available for enrolment on the popular Adult Swimming Lessons which will commence on Saturday 11th September for 8 weeks. The course is £50.00 per person and places can be booked at reception in person, by telephoning 028 9335 8888 or emailing amphitheatre@carrickfergus.org, but hurry as places are limited! The times of the classes are as follows:
Total Beginners will commence on Saturday 11th September from 8.30am - 9.15am.
Improvers Class will commence on Saturday 11th September from 9.15am - 10.00am
New class timetable
Summer may be over, but that is no excuse to tame your exercise routine. With a new jam packed class timetable, there will be plenty of variety to keep your enthusiasm levels up. Classes can be booked one week in advance and are free to members and £4 to non members (payment must be made at the time of booking). For a copy of the class timetable click the link.
Boot camp but not as we know it…
A new season, a new start to Boot Camp! For those familiar with the outdoor Boot Camp, Metabolic Resistance Training (MRT) Circuits is the new Boot Camp and uses whole-body movements which not only challenges coordination and stability, but also results in greater muscle use.
The 5 week indoor course which is free to members and £20 to non members starts on Tuesday 7th September and pre registration is now ongoing in the gym. As places are limited it is advised to pre register however there will be places available for booking up to one week in advance. The

NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
Places for the next two NPLQ courses are now open for enrolment. Open to anyone over 16, the NPLQ is the industrial award for lifeguard and is valid for 2 years upon successful completion. The price for the course is £250 and dates are detailed below:
- 27th September - 3rd October 2010
- 8th - 14th November 2010
The Sanctuary Room
Picture this…you’ve just had a hard work out at the Amphitheatre Wellness Centre and want some time out to pamper yourself. Then why not book yourself in for a luxury Therapeutic Body Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage or a Foot Spa??
