JULY & AUGUST CLASS TIMETABLE
With summer now upon us, it is never too late to get active and fit! Amphitheatre has an extensive programme of class activities planned over the next number of months. A new 6-week couse of Zumba will start in the Jubilee Hall on Wednesday 27th July 2011 - places must be booked through Amphitheatre. For more information on the new Zumba course, click the link.
Also, back by popular demand is the Yoga Workshop with Miriam Chambers on Sunday 14th August. For more information please ask at reception or click the link to open as a PDF.
Due to the centre being closed on the 12th & 13th July, there will be a few slight amendments to the class timetable in July and August. For the relevant timetable, click on the dates below. Classes held in Amphitheatre are free to members. All classes must be booked in advance. All classes can be booked one full week in advance.

NPLQ COURSE ANNOUNCED
Amphitheatre Wellness Centre are proud to offer the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) to anyone over the age of 16. NPLQ is the industrial award for lifeguard and is valid for 2 years upon successful completion.
THE NEXT COURSE OF NPLQ WILL START ON FRIDAY 26TH AUGUST 2011 WITH A COMPLETION DATE OF SUNDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2011.
If interested please leave your name and contact details at reception as the the course will run subjet to numbers.
The price of the week long course is £250.00 and requires full attendance of each day of the course in order to gain 40 hours contact training time and to qualify for assessment.
TWO FOR ONE SWIMMING EVERY FRIDAY FROM 5PM!!
Starting Friday 24th June you can now get two for one on all swimming from 5pm. So why wait? Come along with your friends and enjoy some fun in the water!
ENROLMENT FOR CHILDREN'S SWIMMING LESSONS (COMMENCING SEPT 2011)
Amphitheatre prides itself as providing the highest standard of children's swimming lessons following the ASA National Plan. Classes are booked as a 10 week session and are held throughout the week at various times operating through from level 1 to level 9.
Places on each level are be limited and will be updated on a daily basis from Sunday 3rd July. Please check with the staff at reception for the latest availability in order to avoid disappointment. You can also click on the levels below for information on what your child will be expected to achieve at each level.
Each 10 week session of swimming sessions are priced at £50 per child and include a voucher containing 10 complimentary swims to help your child practice inbetween lessons. Don't forget to ask about our PRE PAYMENT SWIMMING PLAN which will save you money over the course of the year.

Children's Summer Swimming Programme
September can seem a long way off for the next term of swimming lessons so why not take advantage of the Children's Summer Swimming Programme and come along for some summer swimming fun and learn some of the skills from our swimming programme (level 1 - 4).
Each block of of lessons will take place in the small pool every day for five days. The cost per child is £25.00.

AMPHITHEATRE CHILDREN’S SUMMER ACTIVITIES
It has come to that time of year again with summer fast approaching and parents dreading that all too familiar sound of children crying that they are bored and have nothing to do. Well fear no more, as Amphitheatre Wellness Centre have a full array of children’s summer activities including the annual Summer Scheme as well as an exciting offer of Children’s Sport Workshops which will take place in the Amphitheatre and throughout the Borough.
KINESIS IS NOW FREE TO ALL MEMBERS
Did you k now that from the 1st April 2011, the Kinesis Suite, situated on the lower ground floor, is now available to ALL members at no extra cost? Kinesis is an innovative and unique system that focuses on movement through balance, flexibility and strength. Kinesis is designed to accommodate movement in any direct and from any position, providing unlimited exercises and movements to improvement strength, flexibility and balance.
Why not ask a member of staff for your induction or join one of the Kinesis classes?
STUDENTS KEEP FIT THIS SUMMER
Calling all students!! The popular student offer of three months for £70 will start on 1st June. There are two start dates available for this offer: 1st June – 31st August and 1st July - 30th September.
So why not join up for the summer and keep fit the fun way? All memberships include access to the gym and induction, classes, swimming and full access to the Therma Spa.
£10 will be refunded at the end of the three month period upon receipt of membership card and TGS key.
Please note £70 must be paid upfront, memberships run for three consecutive months with a start date of 1st June or 1st July 2011 (no pro rata available). A valid student card must be produced on joining.
JUNIOR FIT KIDS
The stepping stones of healthy life…. Junior Fit Kids is close to finishing its exciting term, but fear not as it will be returning once again over the summer months to keep all those actives kids entertained.
Providing fun Fitness, Health and Wellness for young people aged 4 – 6 years old through participation in various sports, fitness and activities designed for their own age group, Junior Fit Kids is a place to make new friends as well as trying a few sports and well as developing movements, body awareness, balance, agility, communication and social skills.

Swimming Pool Restrictions
With the school holidays fast approaching, the pool restrictions will be changing once again over the summer months. Early bird’s will continue to have unrestricted use of the pool from 6.30am – 9.30am Monday to Friday.
At Amphitheatre Wellness Centre, we aim to meet the needs of all customers, therefore whilst there will be restrictions in place at certain times of the day, the pool will remain open for public swimming.

EXTRA Zumba classes!!
Amphitheatre have an exciting new class timetable applicable from Monday 16th May 2011. This includes the latest craze to be sweeping the nation and already gathering momentum within Amphitheatre… ZUMBA!!
ZUMBAis the energetic and exciting new way to keep fit through dance and is held in the Amphitheatre every Tuesday at 7.30pm and Thursday at 8.45pm. Booking is essential!!
Due to popular demand, an 8-week course of ZUMBA classes are being held in the Town Hall. Booking is essential (through Amphitheatre) and cost £28 per 8-week course. There are two set of 8 week courses starting on Wed 18th May & Thurs 19th May. Both nights start at 7pm.
WARNING: Attending Zumba fitness classes will cause a severe urge to dance along with an extreme sense of happiness. If you experience any of the symptoms, please tell your friends immediately and join the party!!
Pi Café under new management
Pi Café is now under new management with an excellent variety of healthy meals and snacks along with the ever popular favourites including pasta bakes, healthy burgers, filled sodas, all day breakfasts and fresh salad bar as well as a wide range of speciality coffees and teas.
