Oil Stamps Savings Scheme May Extend in the Borough
27 June 2011
An evaluation is underway of the Oil Stamps Saving Scheme piloted in Whitehead. The scheme may be extended to all of the Borough.
Carrickfergus Borough Council, in partnership with Society of St Vincent de Paul, is operating an Oil Stamp Scheme (Stay Warm Saving Scheme) which allows householders in the Whitehead area who use central heating oil to spread the cost of their home heating oil so as to budget and save effectively. The scheme is currently being piloted in the Whitehead area, but may be extended to the Carrickfergus and Greenisland areas in the near future.
