Titanic Honour & Glory Opens in Carrickfergus
Carrickfergus Mayor, Alderman Jim McClurg with Councillor Sean Neeson and Exhibition creator Sean Szmalc from Titanic Honour & Glory.

17 February 2012

The Titanic Honour Glory Exhibition was officially opened last night by Mayor of Carrickfergus Alderman Jim McClurg.

Speaking at the launch The Mayor commented:

“This exhibition on tour through Mid-Antrim Museums Service Partnership forms part of Carrickfergus Borough Council’s programme to remember this wonderful passenger liner and those who built her and also all those who sadly lost their lives on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York – in this the Centenary year of her sinking in 1912.

I hope that everyone will take time to enjoy the exhibition and the rare and remarkable artefacts associated with Titanic and the White Star Line Company on display.  We very much look forward to welcoming visitors to the exhibition while it is at our venue until 28 April.”

The Honour & Glory Exhibition had already proved very popular and will be on display in Carrickfergus Museum & Civic Centre until 28 April.
