A report on the factors contributing to ‘health inequalities’ in the Borough of Carrickfergus has been published.

Produced by Iain McAfee, Health Inequalities Officer for the Northern Group, it provides a comprehensive breakdown of services, value and opinions by ward areas in the Borough.

The Tackling Inequalities in Health Project (TIHP) is funded by the Public Health Agency and works in four key local Councils in the Northern area where life expectancy falls significantly below the Northern Ireland average. These are Antrim, Larne, Carrickfergus and Cookstown.
