Christmas Magic Sparkles in Carrickfergus

Christmas magic will sparkle in Carrickfergus on Friday 20 November as Peter Pan, Captain Hook and Tinkerbel visit specially to help the Mayor switch on the Christmas lights, in association with Sainsbury's!

They have promised a fantastic show featuring lots of music and games, fun and laughter in the traditional panto style, and which might even include a visit from Santa himself! The famous rivalry between Peter Pan and Captain Hook forms the basis of this show, highlighting the spiteful nature of Tinkerbell who changes sides to suit her own needs, and then there's the excitement of the crocodile..!

So wrap up warm, bring your best signing head and enjoy the launch of Christmas in Carrickfergus! The fun begins in High Street from 7.00pm with DJ and MC, Stuart Robinson, and a selection of Citybeat's finest Young Stars, with the Peter Plan show taking place from 7.45 - 8.15pm, culminating with the lights being magically switched on at 8.15pm approximately.

Following the lighting up of Carrickfergus for Christmas, the skies will be lit up with the annual Christmas fireworks display, again in assoication with Sainsbury's from approximately 8.30pm fired from Albert Edward Pier and King William Pier and viewable from Harbour Car Park, Castle Green and Marine Highway. Please note that the fireworks display is weather dependent.

Don't forget that the Carrickfergus Civic Carol Service is taking place at 7pm on the same evening at St Nicholas' Church and will feature choirs from Carrickfergus Model Primary School and Carrickfergus College - everyone welcome!
